A Superhuman alternative that does more than email
Updated
NeoCEO is a Superhuman alternative for founders who want an assistant rather than a faster email client. It triages Gmail or any IMAP/SMTP mailbox, drafts replies you approve, and follows the work out of the inbox: meeting action items, tasks, project boards and a CRM pipeline, from Telegram, the web or ChatGPT.
The short answer
Superhuman Mail is built to make you fast in email. It is a Gmail and Outlook client with AI drafts in your voice (Auto Drafts, on its Business tier), follow-up reminders and scheduling, and it now sits inside a wider Superhuman suite with Grammarly, Docs and the Go assistant. If the job is getting through a big inbox quickly, on Gmail or Outlook, Superhuman is very good at it.
NeoCEO answers a different question: once you've read the email, who makes sure the work happens? Choose NeoCEO when:
- The email is the start of the work, not the end. You want client mail to become tasks, meeting notes to become owned action items, and deals to update without a separate CRM.
- Some of your mail isn't on Gmail. NeoCEO connects to any IMAP/SMTP mailbox; Superhuman's public pages show Gmail and Outlook.
- You'd rather ask than click. "What needs me today?" on Telegram is often faster than any inbox.
- You work in Romanian or Russian, in the interface, in chat and in meetings.
Who should pick which
Stay with Superhuman if you process hundreds of emails a day and the speed of the client itself is what you're paying for, if you're on Outlook or Microsoft 365, or if you need polished mobile apps today.
Pick NeoCEO if you're a founder, agency owner or small team who loses more time to follow-through than to reading mail: the action item nobody owned, the client who never got the recap, the deal that went quiet. NeoCEO's Team plan starts at three seats.
The two can also coexist. NeoCEO reads Gmail through Google sign-in, so you can keep your mail client and let NeoCEO handle triage, meetings, tasks and the pipeline.
What NeoCEO does that a mail client doesn't
Triage cards and a priorities list
Each new email from Gmail or IMAP becomes a triage card (needs reply, urgent, task, meeting, deadline) with a suggested project, and one tap files it as a task. A ranked priorities list adds the replies you owe, sent mail with no answer after three days, tasks due today and, if you turn it on, promises from your own sent mail.
Meetings that turn into work
Google Meet transcripts arrive automatically, and you can upload recordings from any other call. You get speaker labels, a summary, decisions and action items, review them, and send a recap to the participants you choose. English, Romanian, Russian and mixed recordings are supported.
Tasks, projects and a CRM
Projects with their own instructions and files, task boards fed from email, chat and meetings, and a CRM for contacts, deals and calls that warns you when a deal in proposal or negotiation has gone quiet for two weeks. Fifteen minutes before a meeting, you get a brief on the attendees from your CRM and recent mail.
Drafts in your style, with your approval
Ask for a reply in chat and confirm it before it goes. Or switch on drafts in your style: NeoCEO writes replies to urgent and needs-reply mail from a profile of how you write, and saves them in your Drafts folder, up to 25 a day, never sent on their own.
Telegram, web and ChatGPT
The same assistant and memory on Telegram and the web dashboard, plus a NeoCEO app inside ChatGPT. A daily briefing arrives on Telegram and in the app.

Where Superhuman is stronger
- Speed as a mail client. Superhuman is designed around getting through email fast and says it saves users 4 hours a week. NeoCEO has a web mail workspace, but it isn't trying to be the fastest client.
- Outlook and Microsoft 365. Superhuman supports them; NeoCEO does not.
- Mobile and integrations. Superhuman has mobile apps and connects to 800+ tools. NeoCEO's mobile app is coming soon, and its integrations are Google, IMAP/SMTP, Telegram and ChatGPT.
- A wider suite. Grammarly and Docs come in the same Superhuman bundle.
Where NeoCEO is stronger
- Follow-through. Meetings, tasks, boards and the CRM in the same assistant as your inbox.
- Any mailbox. IMAP/SMTP support for custom-domain and hosting-provider mail. See the IMAP/SMTP page.
- Chat-first. Telegram and ChatGPT, so you can run your day without opening a mail client.
- Romanian and Russian, including mixed-language meeting transcription.
- Approval where it matters. Sending an email, changing a CRM deal or a calendar event, or deleting data waits for your OK, and automations that email people need an explicit consent checkbox and run within their daily cap.

Superhuman alternative: questions
Is NeoCEO an email client like Superhuman?
Partly. NeoCEO has a web mail workspace where you can read, reply, search and organise mail across your connected accounts, but it isn't built to compete with Superhuman on raw inbox speed. Its focus is what happens around the inbox: triage cards with suggested projects, a priorities list, meeting notes that become tasks, and a CRM. Many people will use NeoCEO through Telegram or chat more than through the mail view.
Does NeoCEO work with Outlook like Superhuman does?
No. NeoCEO supports Gmail through Google sign-in and any mailbox that offers IMAP/SMTP access, but not Outlook or Microsoft 365 accounts. If your work mail is on Microsoft 365, Superhuman or another client with Microsoft support is the better choice today. If you have a Gmail account plus a mailbox on your own domain at a hosting company, NeoCEO can handle both in one triage list.
Is NeoCEO cheaper than Superhuman?
It depends on what you compare. NeoCEO starts at €14 per seat per month on yearly billing (€17 monthly), with no usage credits. According to a third-party summary, Superhuman's suite Pro plan starts at $12 a month billed yearly, Superhuman Mail at $25, and Business at $33. So Superhuman's entry plan can be cheaper, while NeoCEO includes meetings, tasks and a CRM in every plan. Check both vendors' pages for current prices.
Can NeoCEO draft replies that sound like me?
Yes, as an opt-in. With drafts in your style switched on, NeoCEO builds a short profile of how you write from your recent sent mail and uses it for reply drafts to urgent and needs-reply email. The drafts are saved in your Drafts folder in Gmail or your IMAP mailbox, up to 25 a day, and are never sent on their own. Drafts you ask for in chat use the same profile and wait for your confirmation.
Can I use NeoCEO and Superhuman together?
Yes, if your mail is on Gmail. NeoCEO connects to Gmail through Google sign-in, separately from your mail client, so you can keep reading in Superhuman while NeoCEO handles triage, priorities, meetings, tasks and deals. Drafts NeoCEO saves go into your Gmail Drafts folder, where any client that syncs Gmail drafts can pick them up. Start with the 14-day trial; if you cancel before it ends, you pay nothing.
